St. Mary'S Matriculation School

St. Mary's Matriculation School is situated in Thiruvarangam Nagar, which is along Durugam Road in the southern part of Kallakurichi. It is a busy area, especially during the morning and evening hours when everyone is commuting. The school sits on a decent piece of land, but it is not what you would call a luxury facility. It is a place for learning, plain and simple. We have the usual rows of classrooms, a small office for the paperwork, and a place for the children to play during their breaks. Durugam Road can be quite dusty, so we are always sweeping the floors to keep the place looking presentable. The students wear their uniforms every day, and we are pretty strict about that because it keeps things simple for everyone. Most of our teachers have been with us for a long time and they understand the local community in Kallakurichi South very well. We don't use any complicated teaching methods or expensive equipment. Instead, we stick to the textbooks and make sure the students do their homework. The sounds of the town, like the occasional horn from a passing vehicle or the birds in the nearby trees, are always in the background. We just focus on the basics of running a school and making sure the building is safe and ready for the kids every single morning. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it is what we know how to do best.
