North Park Matriculation School

In Thinnapatti, on the road that connects Pannapatty and Dhinnapatty, you will find North Park Matriculation School. It is a quiet area compared to the middle of Salem city. The school is surrounded by a bit of greenery and some local houses. We have a modest building where we conduct our classes every day. The students mostly come from the families living in the nearby villages. They walk or ride their cycles to get here. We have a small playground where the children spend their PT periods. The staff is quite small, so we all know each other well. We do not have a big fancy office; it is just a room with some desks and cupboards for the files. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts, so the classrooms can get a bit warm. We just open the windows and keep going with the lessons. The school bell is a manual one that someone has to ring at the end of every hour. It is an honest place where we focus on the basics of reading and writing. Parents often stop by the gate to have a quick word with the teachers before they go to work. We do not have any big advertisements or marketing. The people in the village know who we are and what we do. It is just a normal school day for everyone involved here.
