Sri Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School

Our school is right here on Meyyanur Road in Salem. If you know this area, you know it gets pretty busy with traffic and people going about their day. Sri Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School has been part of this neighborhood for quite a while now. We have the usual classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to run around when they aren't stuck inside at their desks. Most mornings start with the sound of buses pulling up and parents dropping off their children before heading to work. The building itself is sturdy, maybe not the flashiest thing you’ve ever seen, but it does the job just fine. We have teachers who have been here for years and they know most of the families by name. It’s a local place. Inside, there are blackboards, rows of wooden benches, and the usual hallway noise you expect in a school. We try to keep things organized, but schools are always a bit messy with books and papers everywhere. During the lunch break, the smell of home-cooked food from tiffin boxes fills the air. It’s just a normal school day for us most of the time. We aren’t trying to be anything fancy. We just open the gates every morning and do the work. The walls have some charts stuck on them and the playground gets dusty in the summer heat. That is just how it is here in Meyyanur.
