Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School

Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School is found at No 11 on the Attur Main Road in the Kamaraj Nagar Colony of Salem. This is a busy part of town, and being on the Attur Main Road means there is a constant stream of buses and motorcycles passing by our front gate. The school has been part of the Salem community for many years, and many of the people living in Kamaraj Nagar Colony went here themselves when they were younger. Our buildings are older and have that solid, traditional feel to them, with high ceilings and heavy wooden doors in some of the sections. The classrooms are full of wooden benches and desks that have been carved into by generations of students. We have a small playground area where the kids spend their break times, and it can get quite loud with all the shouting and running around. The teachers here are very familiar with the local area and the families who send their children to us. It is a place where we follow the standard matriculation syllabus and try to keep everyone on track with their exams. We don't have air conditioning or modern glass facades; instead, we have large windows that let in the breeze and the sounds of the street. It is a practical, local school that has seen a lot of history and continues to be a central part of life for many families in Salem.
