Sadham & Co.

Our office is right on Gandhi Road, so we see everyone passing by throughout the day. Veerappanur is a small enough place that you recognize the faces after a few months. We’ve been running Sadham & Co. from this spot for a long time. It’s mostly just us handling paperwork and dealing with suppliers on the phone. The chairs are getting a bit old, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound if we turn it up too high. We don't have a big team or a shiny lobby. It’s just a room with some desks and a lot of files stacked up in the corner. Sometimes it feels like we’re drowning in receipts, but we manage to get through them eventually. The light comes in through the front window in the morning, which is the best time of day before it gets too hot. Usually, someone goes out to get tea for everyone around eleven. We talk about the weather or the news while we drink it. It’s not the most exciting work, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. People stop by to drop things off or ask questions, and we do what we can. It gets a little noisy with the street traffic right outside, but you get used to it. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It's a simple life here on Gandhi Road, and we like it that way.
