If you go down to Kumaran Street in the Agraharam area of Salem, you will find where we work from. We are Bhuvaneswari Head Cooks and we’ve been in the kitchen for a long time. Our spot is right near the Siva Coffee Bar, which most people around here know. We are basically a group of cooks who handle big meals for functions. Salem is a place where people take their food seriously, so we have to stay focused. We aren't a restaurant where you sit down, but more of a team that gets hired to handle the cooking for events. It’s hot work, standing over big pots all day, but it’s what we know how to do. The Agraharam area has that old-school feel and we fit right in. We use the local markets for our ingredients and try to keep things traditional. There isn't a big marketing team here; it's just the head cooks and the helpers. We don't use any fancy machines, just the usual tools you'd find in a large kitchen. Sometimes the orders are huge and we have to work through the night.
