Mpup School

This Mpup School sits right at No 1 on the Yearcaud Main Road in Hastampatti. Since we are in Salem, the weather is usually quite warm, and the road outside is always full of people heading up towards the hills or going into the city. Our location is easy to find because everyone knows the main road. The school itself isn't huge. It’s a modest building that has been here for years. We don't do anything too fancy with the architecture. It is just a place for learning. The address is 636007 for anyone sending mail. In the mornings, you can see parents dropping off their kids before they head to work. It gets a bit hectic around 8:30 but that’s just how it goes in a busy spot like Hastampatti. We have a couple of trees in the yard which give some shade when the sun is out. The classrooms are basic and functional. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people writing fancy brochures. We just show up, open the gates, and do the work. The floors are stone and the windows are usually kept wide open to let the breeze in from the main road. It’s a local school for local people, nothing more and nothing less. We’ve seen many groups of kids grow up and move on from here.
