Our shop is over here in Kharadi, specifically on the road that connects to Chandan Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze around here with the different crosses and mains, but we are located near the 14th Cross in Viman Nagar’s 2nd Stage area. If you’re coming off CMH Road, you’ll eventually find us. The first thing you notice when you get close to the shop is the smell of the spices. We handle a lot of different masales, so there is always a strong scent of turmeric, chili, and coriander in the air. It’s a small place, and sometimes the dust from the grinding can get everywhere, but that’s just how it is with this kind of work. We spend our time weighing out packets and making sure the mixes are right. The shelves are stacked with bags of different sizes. It can get pretty loud when the machinery is running, so we usually have to talk a bit louder to be heard. We’ve been serving the local people around here for a while, and they know us as the place to get their kitchen basics. It’s not a supermarket; it’s just a regular spice shop where the floors are a bit stained from the powders and the counters are well-worn. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready for whoever comes through the door.
