World Spice

World Spice is located at 15/A Hanuman Nagar on Senapati Bapat Road here in Pune. We have a small shop where we keep all sorts of spices and dry goods. The smell of the place is the first thing people notice when they walk in. It’s a mix of everything from black pepper to cardamom. We spend most of our day measuring out portions and putting them into bags for customers. The shop is quite small, so the shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. Senapati Bapat Road is a very busy part of town, so we get a lot of people stopping by on their way home from work. We have been in this location for many years, so we know a lot of the families in Hanuman Nagar. They come to us because they know what we have. We don't do any big advertising or have a fancy website. We just open up in the morning and sweep the floor. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the ground spices, but that is just how it is. We have a small desk in the back where we keep the books. It is a simple business. We buy the spices, we clean them, and we sell them. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Pune, just a reliable one for the local neighborhood.
