Ganesh Peth is where we have our shop, right at number 62. It is an old part of the city, and the streets are quite narrow, so getting large deliveries in can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We have been here for a long time, and the building itself has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit worn out in places. Inside, it’s all about the masalas. We spend our days weighing out spices and filling bags for the people who come in. You can see the dust from the turmeric and chili in the air when the light hits it just right. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don't have a website or any social media pages because we never really felt the need for them. People know where we are and they know what they are getting. We talk to our customers about their families and what they are cooking for dinner. It’s not just about selling a product; it’s about being part of the community here in Ganesh Peth. The wooden counters have been here since my father's time, and they are worn smooth from all the years of use. We just keep doing what we've always done, focusing on the spices and the people who use them. It's a simple life, and we are happy with how things are going for us here.
