Kumbhashree Masik

At Kumbhashree Masik, we work out of unit 61 in Kunal Plaza, which is right in Chinchwad. Being in a plaza means there is always a lot of movement around us with people visiting different shops and offices. Our space is usually filled with stacks of paper, old issues of the masik, and various bits of stationery. It’s a small office and sometimes the piles of magazines seem like they are going to take over the whole room. We spend a lot of time at our desks typing, editing, and making sure everything is ready for the next month's release. It’s a lot of quiet work interspersed with busy periods when we are heading toward a deadline. The light in Kunal Plaza isn't always the best, so we have some extra lamps around to help us see what we are doing. We don't have a lot of visitors, but when we do, it’s usually someone dropping off an article or picking up a copy of the latest issue. Chinchwad is a busy place and the plaza can get quite crowded on the weekends, but during the week it’s a bit more manageable for us to get our work done. We’ve been here for a while now and we’re quite settled into the routine of the publication cycle. It's just us doing what we do every month, trying to keep the magazine going without any fancy corporate backing.
