Our office is over in Khanda Colony, specifically in Flat A 101 at the Shriniketan society. Panvel is a busy place these days, but our corner of New Mumbai stays fairly grounded. We deal with spices here. It’s a lot of weighing, packing, and making sure the bags are ready for transport. The smell of the warehouse usually hangs around our clothes, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't a massive factory, just a private company trying to keep things organized from a residential-style building. Most of our days are spent on the phone or checking the stock that comes in from the farmers. Shriniketan is a nice enough society, and being on the ground floor helps with moving boxes around without too much trouble. We started out small and stayed that way, mostly focusing on the local trade and the markets nearby. There’s no big corporate board here, just a few of us making sure the color and smell of the chili and turmeric are what they should be. We handle the grinding and the mixing depending on what the orders look like for the week. Sometimes the logistics get a bit messy with the traffic in Panvel, but we always manage to find a way. People know where to find us if they need a bulk order or just want to check the current rates. It's honest work, and the kitchen always smells like cardamom or pepper when we are busy.
