Mystic Masala

You can find us at Koregaon Park 11. This neighborhood is always full of people walking around and cars looking for parking. We’ve been operating here for some time now. The restaurant isn't very big, but we make it work. Every morning, we start by grinding the spices, and the whole place smells like cumin and coriander for hours. It’s a lot of manual work. We have wooden tables that we have to polish every now and then because they get sticky. We don't have a lot of fancy tech; we just write down orders on a pad and take them to the kitchen. The cooks have their own way of doing things, and it can get a bit loud back there when they are busy. We get all kinds of people coming in, from locals who live just down the street to tourists who got lost looking for something else. We don't have a dress code or anything like that. Just come in as you are. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish if the market didn't have the right ingredients that day. We just tell people honestly. It’s a busy life in Koregaon Park, and we are just one part of it. We try to keep the floor clean and the water glasses full. It’s not a complicated business, just food and a place to sit.
