Xplore The World

We spend a lot of time up here on the mezzanine floor at 72 Kamatchi Amman Kovil Street. If you know the area, we are just near Iyengar Bakery. You can usually smell the fresh bread from our office when they have a new batch out. This part of Pondicherry gets quite busy during the day with people coming and going. Xplore The World is just a small setup really. We handle travel bookings and help people figure out where they want to go for their holidays or work trips. Most of the time it is just us answering phones and checking schedules on the computer. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons but the fan keeps things moving. People stop by after getting their snacks from the bakery sometimes. We have been here for a while now and know the street pretty well. It is a good spot because everyone knows where the bakery is so it makes finding us easy. We mostly deal with tickets and local tours around town or further out. There is always something to fix or a booking to change, so the days go by fast. We don’t have a big fancy office, just enough space to get the job done. Sometimes the internet is slow but we manage to get everything sorted eventually. It is a simple life running a travel desk in this part of town. We just try to keep the paperwork straight and make sure people get their tickets on time.
