Our office is on Muthumariamman Kovil Street, tucked away in the 106-B building. If you know where Eswaran Kovil is, you can find us pretty easily since we are right near it. The street is usually full of people going to the temple or just walking to the market. We have been operating from this same spot for quite some time. It is a small space filled with ledgers and a couple of old phones that ring more often than they should. My cousin and I run the place most days. We handle local trips and sometimes longer journeys out of Pondicherry. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are usually too busy sorting out driver schedules to worry about that. Sometimes the traffic on the street gets so loud we have to shout a bit to hear the customers, but that’s just the way it goes in this part of town. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that, just a few reliable drivers who know the roads well. People stop by to ask for directions almost as much as they ask for car bookings. We keep some water for the drivers and a bench for anyone waiting for their ride. It's a straightforward business and we try to get things done without making a big fuss about it. We usually stay open until the temple crowds start to thin out in the late evening.
