Vel Tours & Travels

If you are driving down the Ecr Main Road near Pondicherry University, you will find us. We are right in Periya Kalapat, directly opposite the Kalapat Police Station. It is a very easy spot to find because the police station is a big landmark for everyone around here. Vel Tours & Travels is basically just a small office where we handle all the travel bookings. Being so close to the university, we see a lot of students and teachers passing by. The 605014 area is quite busy with traffic going toward Chennai or into town. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the buses and trucks, but we are used to it. The office itself is nothing special to look at. We have some chairs for people to sit while they wait and a couple of desks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking schedules. It is a local business, so we know the people who live nearby in Periya Kalapat. We have been here for a while and have seen the road change over the years. It is just honest work, helping people figure out their trips. There is no corporate vibe here at all. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the work is finished. Being right on the main road makes it convenient for travelers to just pull over and talk to us about their plans. We have a lot of maps and schedules pinned to the walls.
