Kommedu Tourisme

Kommedu Tourisme is located on La Bourdonni Street, which is a very famous part of Pondicherry. We are right next to Hotel Continental. This street has that old French colonial feel with the big trees and the yellow walls. Working here is quite nice because it is close to the beach and the park. Our office is a simple one. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the travel business. We focus on showing people around Pondicherry and organizing trips to other places. Many of our customers are staying at the hotels nearby, so they just walk over to see us. We spend a lot of time talking to visitors about what to see in town. It is not a formal place. We might be having tea when you walk in. We use old-fashioned ledgers sometimes along with the computers. It just feels right for this part of town. The building has high ceilings and stays relatively cool even in the summer heat. We like being next to the hotel because it brings a lot of different people our way. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks in. We don't do much advertising; we just stay here on La Bourdonni Street and help people with their travel plans. It’s a quiet, steady way to make a living in a very beautiful city.
