Hot Land Cafeteria

Our cafeteria is located at No 100 on 45 Feet Road in Pondicherry. If you know the Kamaraj Salai cutting, we are right there near that corner. It’s a busy intersection and there is always something going on outside our windows. We have been here serving food for a long time. The place is just a regular cafeteria where people can sit down and have a quick meal. We don't have any complicated menus or fancy decorations. It is just tables, chairs, and a kitchen that stays busy all day. Most of our customers are people who work nearby or students who are passing through the area. We know a lot of them by name because they come in so often. The staff here is small and we all do a bit of everything, from taking orders to cleaning up the tables. It’s not a corporate job, just a local business that we run the best way we know how. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish by mid-afternoon if it was popular that day. We just make something else or wait until the next morning to start over. The humidity in Pondicherry can be tough, especially in the kitchen, but we just get on with it. We don't use any marketing tricks to get people in. They just see the sign and walk in when they are hungry. It’s a straightforward life for us here on 45 Feet Road. We just keep things moving.
