Don Giovanni

We are located on Mission Street, right inside Hotel Corbelli at number 170. If you are walking through the Pondicherry Bazaar, you’ll probably pass by the Nilgiris Super Market first, and we are just near there. Don Giovanni has been around for a bit, and we mostly focus on the food. It’s a bit of an interesting mix because we are doing Italian styles in the middle of a busy Indian market area. The street outside is always packed with scooters and people shopping. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but not silent by any means. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen working with the dough and the sauces. We aren't trying to be a fancy fine-dining place where you need a suit to get in. It’s more of a place where you can sit down after a long day of walking around the 605001 area and just have a decent meal. The staff is local, and we’ve all been working here together for a long time. Sometimes the ingredients we want are hard to find in the market, so we have to make do with what’s fresh that day. That’s just the way it is. We don't have a big social media team or anything like that. We just open the doors and start cooking when the lunch rush begins. It is just a kitchen that serves people.
