Akshay Tours

Akshay Tours is located over at No 23 Odiyanpet Quarters, in the Kaasi Viswanathar Nagar area of Pondicherry. It is a quiet residential spot, which makes for a peaceful place to run a travel business. We aren't in one of those big glass buildings; we are just part of the local neighborhood. Most of our work involves helping people with tours and travel arrangements, whether they are going just a short distance or somewhere further away. We have a very basic setup inside the office. There are a few chairs where you can sit and talk about your plans, and we have our calendars and booking logs spread out on the desk. It’s a very personal way of doing business, which we prefer over being some big, nameless corporation. We know most of the people who live around here, and they often stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question about travel prices. The neighborhood is nice, and being near the quarters means we have a lot of regulars who trust us with their trips. We don't promise anything we can't do. We just look at the available cars and the schedule and tell you what’s possible. It’s a modest life, but it keeps us busy and we enjoy talking to the different people who walk through our door every day.
