Punjabi Chicken Corner & Dhaba

We are right here on the main road in Samalkha, just a bit down from Hanuman Chowk. If you know the Panipat Road, you’ve probably seen the HP Petrol Pump where everyone stops to fill up. That’s pretty much our neighbor. We’ve been running Punjabi Chicken Corner & Dhaba for a while now, right in the Vpo Bhapoli area. It isn’t anything fancy to look at, just a regular place where the tandoor stays hot most of the day. You can hear the trucks passing by constantly, especially when the sun starts going down. We spend most of our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure everything is in place before the lunch crowd shows up. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the road work or the wind, but that’s just how it is around here. People from the nearby colonies and workers from the shops around Hanuman Chowk usually drop in. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights, just the name on the front and the smell of the kitchen doing its thing. It gets pretty busy on the weekends when people are traveling through to Panipat. We just try to keep the place tidy and keep the stove going. There isn’t much of a secret to it, we just show up every day and do the work. It’s a loud spot with all the traffic, but we like being right in the middle of things.
