JANNAT VAISHNO DHABA

We are located right on the G.T. Road in Jhatipur, Panipat. This stretch of highway is one of the busiest in the country, and we are right in the middle of it. As a Vaishno dhaba, we only cook vegetarian food. There is no meat allowed in our kitchen at all. The place is built for people who are traveling long distances. We have a large area where cars and buses can pull over. Inside, it is very simple. We have long rows of tables because sometimes large groups come in all at once. The floor is concrete and we have big windows that let in the light and the noise from the trucks outside. It isn't a quiet place for a romantic dinner. It is a place to eat and get back on the road. We use big metal plates and everything is served quickly. The kitchen is always busy with someone making bread or stirring a big pot. We don't have a printed menu that changes. It is usually the same things every day. Some people have been stopping here for years on their way to Delhi or Punjab. We don't have air conditioning, just the breeze and the fans. The walls have some old pictures on them. It’s just an honest roadside eatery where you can get a hot meal at almost any hour.
