China Club

We are over at E-124 in Kidwai Nagar East. It's a nice part of New Delhi. China Club has been a part of this neighborhood for a while. We aren't one of those massive, noisy places. It’s more of a local spot where you can find us most days of the week. The address is easy to find if you are familiar with the 110023 zip code area. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen or making sure the tables are set up right. It’s a lot of manual work. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It's just us. Some days are really busy and we are all running around. Other days are quiet and we get to sit for a minute. We like the people who come in here. Most of them live nearby. You see the same faces after a while. We try to keep the place clean and welcoming. It’s not about being the fanciest place in Delhi. We just want to provide something good for the people in Kidwai Nagar. We handle the cooking and the cleaning ourselves. It's a small team, like a family really. Kidwai Nagar East is a quiet enough place compared to the rest of Delhi. Our building is nothing special to look at from the outside, but we’ve made it comfortable inside. We have some old chairs that are a bit squeaky, but they are comfortable enough for a long shift. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. You’d be surprised how much dust gets in here from the road. We don’t have a fancy website or a social media manager. If people like what we do, they tell their friends. It feels more honest that way. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and we have to scramble to get things ready, but we always manage.
