Maa Mati Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at Anladuba in Rairangpur. You’ll find us at Plot No. 848, which is where Tarun Kumar Mohanta is. We are a group of farmers who decided to come together because doing things alone is just too hard these days. The name Maa Mati really says it all for us—it’s about the mother earth that we work on every single day. We deal with all sorts of things related to farming in this part of Mayurbhanj. It’s not always easy, especially when you have to deal with the logistics of getting things from the farm to the people who need them. We spend a lot of time sitting around talking about seeds, weather, and how to get a better yield without breaking the bank. Rairangpur is a good place to be, and our office is just a practical space where we meet up. We don't have any fancy receptionists or marketing teams. It’s just us, the farmers, trying to make a living and help each other out. Sometimes the meetings go long and we end up just drinking tea and talking about the old days. But at the end of the day, we’re all focused on the same thing: keeping our farms going and making sure the soil stays healthy for the next generation.
