Out here in Poda Astia, things can get pretty quiet during the off-season. We set up Budhabalanga Farmers Producer Companylimited because the farmers in Samakhunta needed a better way to handle their business. We’re located near Baripada, so we spend a lot of time traveling back and forth. It’s a group of us who actually work the land. We aren't businessmen in suits, just people who know how to plant and harvest. Sometimes the weather is against us, but that's part of the job. We share what we know about the crops.
