Bhanjdeoagro Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over here in Champagadi, which is a part of the Barsahi area in Mayurbhanj. It’s pretty quiet out this way but there is always a lot of farming happening. Bhanjdeoagro is basically a group of us who got together to handle the agricultural stuff better. Chakradhar Giri’s place is where we mostly meet up to talk about what needs doing. It is not some big fancy office or anything. It’s just where the paperwork happens and where we figure out the seeds or the harvest timings. Most of the people here have been working the land for years and years. We decided that having a proper company name would make things easier when we need to sell stuff or buy supplies in larger amounts. The roads get a bit muddy during the rainy season, but we manage to get things moved around. Orissa has good soil in this part, so we try to make the most of it. There is nothing too complicated about how we run things. We just wake up early, get out to the fields, and check on how the crops are growing. Sometimes we sit around in the afternoon and discuss the market prices or if anyone has a tractor that needs fixing. It’s mostly just hard work and hoping the weather stays on our side. People in the village know us, and we just keep going day by day.
