Jashipur Farmers Producer Company Limited is run out of Word No-7, House No-251 in Padmapur, Joshipur. We are right there in the Karanjia part of Mayurbhanj. If you live around here, you know it’s a beautiful place but it takes a lot of effort to make a living from the land. Our company is just a collection of us farmers coming together to make things a bit easier. The house we use as an office is always full of people. There’s usually someone coming in to ask a question or someone sitting there filling out forms. It’s not a polished environment. We have old files and maybe a few samples of grain sitting on the table. We don't use big words or try to sound like we’re from a big city. We are from Joshipur, and we talk like it. We started this because the market can be tough on a single farmer. When we work together as a company, we have a better chance. We share what we know about the weather and the crops. Sometimes we just meet to talk about how the season is going over a cup of tea. It’s a very local thing. We are all neighbors and friends first. The company is just the tool we use to keep our farms running and our families fed. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we do it together, one day at a time.
