Mayurbhanj Agri Smart Farmer Producer Company Limited is based right here on Plot No-31/722 in Betnoti. Most days it’s just us talking to the local growers and checking on what’s coming out of the ground. The weather around 757018 usually dictates how our mornings go. We started this because the small farmers around here needed a way to get things done without having to travel too far into the bigger cities. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. If you walk past the plot, you’ll see some bags piled up and maybe a few of us sitting around a wooden table. We handle a lot of the paperwork that people usually hate doing. It gets dusty in the summer, and the rains make the roads a bit of a mess, but we stay open regardless. There isn’t a big sign or anything, just the usual local activity. People drop by when they have something to sell or if they need to figure out the seeds for the next season. It’s hard work, and sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned, but that’s just how farming is in Orissa. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to keep the tractors moving and the crops healthy enough to make a decent living for everyone involved in the group. It’s simple, really. Just some folks from Mayurbhanj trying to stay busy and helpful. It’s just how we do things here.
