Shri Kanthan Catering

Our kitchen is located at No 66/61 on Pallavan Nagar 3rd Street, over in the P P Chavadi area. It's right in the middle of Somasundaram Colony. We have been here for a bit now, and the neighbors are very used to the smells coming from our pots every morning. It's a local neighborhood, so we see the same people every day walking by while we are loading up our supplies. We don't have a big sign or anything like that. Mostly, people just know us from around the area. The space inside is mostly taken up by big burners and stainless steel vessels. We spend a lot of time cleaning and prepping before any actual cooking starts. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting heavy pots and making sure the spices are right for each dish. Sometimes we have to work through the night if there is an early morning breakfast to deliver across town. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy plating or anything, we just put the food in the tins and get it to where it needs to go. P P Chavadi is a good spot for us because we can get to different parts of the city fairly easily from here. We are just a small team of people who know how to cook for a crowd. It is hard work but it keeps us going and keeps us busy. We are just regular people doing a regular job in our own corner of the colony every day.
