Rosa

Our shop, Rosa, is located in the Maniyoth Building, specifically at No. 6. If you know Calicut at all, we are right there in Chinthavallappu, sitting just across from Atlas Jewellery. It is a busy part of town and we have been here for a good bit now. Most mornings start with unlocking the front door and getting things sorted for whatever the day brings. It’s a small space, but we make it work. We don’t really go in for fancy talk or big advertisements. People usually find us because they’re already in the neighborhood or they were visiting the jewellery store across the way. The building has its quirks, like any older place in Calicut, but it feels like home to us. We spend our hours talking to folks who walk in and managing the daily tasks that keep a small business going. Sometimes the humidity gets to us, but that’s just life here. We aren’t trying to change the world, just trying to provide what we have to the people who need it. It’s quiet enough some days, and then really hectic on others. We like the pace of it. Being at No. 6 means we see everyone coming and going from the other offices too. It’s a nice little community we have in this corner of the city. We just take things one day at a time here. Every day has its own set of little challenges, but that is part of the job.
