Delight

Delight is located on Francis Road, right across from the TB Clinic in Calicut. It’s a straightforward little place. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy to pull people in. Most people who find us are already looking for us or live in the area. The building is an older one, which means we’re always fixing a leaky pipe or painting a bit of a wall. We don’t mind, though. It gives the place some character. Inside, it’s mostly just work space. We don’t have much room for sitting around. We spend our time getting orders ready and making sure everything is where it should be. Calicut is a busy city, and Francis Road gets its fair share of noise. We’ve gotten used to the sound of the buses passing by. It’s just the two or three of us working here most days. We don't have a lot of rules, we just know what needs to be done before we go home. Sometimes the days are long, especially when we have a lot to get through. We don't use any fancy software to manage things; we mostly just use a notebook and a pen. It’s worked for us so far. We like the neighborhood and the people who stop by to say hello. It’s a quiet way to run a business. We focus on the daily chores and keeping the counters clean. There is always some dust from the road that we have to wipe away. We just take it slow.
