Spice International

Our place is on 1St Street in Kumarnagar, right at 26/32B. If you know where Damro Furniture is, then we are really close to that, which helps because people always use it as a landmark when they’re lost. We’ve been operating out of this building for a while now. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes and the different spices we keep in stock. We call ourselves Spice International, but at the end of the day, we’re just a bunch of people working in a crowded room in Kumarnagar. The street outside can get a bit tight when the delivery vans are trying to park, and we’ve had our fair share of arguments with the neighbors about blocking the way. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of the sealing machines and someone calling out order numbers. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. Usually, there’s a pile of paperwork on the desk that never seems to get smaller. We handle a lot of different things, and it gets hectic during the festival seasons. You learn to live with the smell of cloves and cardamom sticking to your clothes even after you go home. It’s just how it is. We aren't trying to change the world or anything; we just want to make sure the boxes are filled and the trucks leave on time. It’s a messy, loud, and busy life here on 1St Street in the city.
