Baijnath & Sons

Baijnath & Sons has been operating out of 81, Madan Mohan Burman Street for a long time. This street is always crowded and noisy, but that is just how things are in this part of town. Our building is old, and you can definitely tell if you look at the walls or the staircase. We deal with various things depending on what our customers are looking for that week. It is a family-run sort of place, so you will often see a couple of generations of the family sitting behind the old wooden desks. We do not use much fancy software to track everything; we still rely on a lot of paper ledgers and notebooks. It might seem a bit old-fashioned to some people, but it works for us and we have not seen a reason to change it yet. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit near the window, but we just put a bucket down and keep working. The people who come to see us are usually regulars who have been buying from us for years. They know we do not put on any acts or try to sound more important than we are. We just open up in the morning, do the trading or the paperwork, and head home when the sun goes down. It is a simple way of doing things on a very busy street. We have seen the neighborhood change, but we stay the same.
