Annapurna Trading Co.

Annapurna Trading Co. is located right in the Barisha Super Market. We have room numbers 2 and 3 over in Block A. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s a very busy place with people everywhere. It’s loud and there’s always a lot of shouting and moving around of goods. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and we’re used to the noise. Our rooms are where we keep our stock and handle all the trading business. It’s not a fancy setup with air conditioning or glass walls. We have simple wooden tables and lots of shelves for our ledger books and samples. Most of our day is spent talking to people who come into the market looking for various items. We have to keep a close eye on the prices and what is coming in and out each day. The market can be quite chaotic, especially in the mornings when the new deliveries arrive. We usually have a hot tea from the vendor down the hall to get us through the busy stretches. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the trading business inside and out. It’s a lot of manual work, checking the quality of goods and making sure the weights are right. We like being in the heart of the market because that’s where all the action is. It's a tough but honest way to make a living.
