Shri Ganesh

My name is Shri Ganesh, or at least that’s the name we put on the board outside. We are located in Gobindapur, which is part of Maheshtala near the Dakhghar area. If you know the South 24 Parganas side of Kolkata, you probably know how it is around here. It’s a mix of old houses and some newer developments, and we’ve been right in the middle of it for a long time. Our place isn't anything special to look at, just a solid building where we keep our tools and materials organized. We don't have a fancy website or a secretary answering phones with a script. Usually, someone just picks up and we talk like normal people. Life in Maheshtala is busy, and we try to keep up with everything. There’s always something needing to be fixed or moved or sorted out. We don't really have a grand plan for world dominance or anything. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure the folks in Gobindapur have a local place they can rely on. The Kolkata 141 area has its own rhythm, and we’ve grown used to it over the years. Some days are slower than others, which is fine because it gives us time to tidy up the workspace or have an extra cup of tea. We’re just local people doing local work, and that’s plenty for us. We don't need any awards or big recognition. Just being able to work and stay here in Maheshtala is enough for the lot of us.
