Laxmi Majumdar

I’m working out of a space on Satin Sen Sarani, right on the Maniktala Main Road in Kolkata. It’s actually c/o Sudip Kumar Dhar at 1 19 1E. If you know Kolkata, you know this area is always moving and full of noise. My setup is pretty basic, just a room where I keep my things and handle the day-to-day work. It’s not a big corporate office with a sign out front; it’s more of a personal workspace where I can focus. I’ve been in this part of the city for a long time, and I’m used to the humidity and the sound of the traffic outside the window. Sometimes the mail gets a bit mixed up because the address is a bit long, but it eventually finds its way to me. I handle various tasks here, mostly paperwork and keeping track of things for the people I work with. It can get a bit cramped with all the files and books, but I know where everything is. People who need to find me usually know the landmark or just give me a call when they are nearby. I don't really do the whole marketing thing. I just do my job, pay my taxes, and try to keep things organized. Living and working in Maniktala means there’s always a good place to grab some tea nearby, which is a plus. It’s just a regular life and a regular job here in the heart of the city, nothing too fancy or complicated about it. I just stay busy.
