Maheshwari Mantry Company

We operate Maheshwari Mantry Company from 73 Sova Bazar Street in Kolkata. If you know the 700005 area, you know it’s a place with a lot of soul and history. Our building is old, like many on this street, and it has its quirks. The floors creak a bit, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like ours. We aren't some new startup trying to change the world. We’re just a local business that’s been around long enough to know the neighbors. The street outside is always full of life, with vendors and people rushing by. Inside, we keep things a bit more controlled, though it still gets hectic during the busy hours. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or a handbook full of rules. We just show up, do the tasks that need doing, and try to be fair to everyone. Most of our furniture has been here since we opened, and it’s held up well. We don't see the point in replacing things that still work fine. Kolkata is a city that respects tradition, and we like to think we fit right into that. We’re just a regular part of Sova Bazar Street, doing our thing every day without making a big deal out of it. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, but it’s where we belong. That is just the way it goes here.
