We are tucked away at 5 Synagogue Street, which is a place with a lot of history if you look at the old buildings around us. Rangilal & Sons started out as a small family thing, and we have kept it going that way ever since. The street outside is usually full of people and carts, so it is never really quiet here. Inside, the shelves are pretty high and packed with all the stuff we carry. We do not have any fancy signs or neon lights. Usually, someone is sitting at the front desk with a ledger or a cup of tea. It is the kind of place where customers walk in and we know them by name because they have been coming to us for years. We handle the day-to-day work without much fuss. If the phone rings, one of us picks it up; there is no automated menu or anything like that. We deal with whatever supplies are needed that day. The floorboards might creak a little and the lighting isn't the brightest, but it works for what we do. Being on Synagogue Street means we are right in the middle of things, which makes it easy for folks to drop by. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the decades, but we just keep doing what we do. It is a simple operation, run by people who care about getting the job done right without any unnecessary complications.
