M. L. Bhunja & Co.

You can find us at No. 301-D on B. B. Ganguly Street, which most people just call Bow Bazaar Street. It’s an old part of the city, and the building we are in has been around for a long time. M. L. Bhunja & Co. has been operating out of this room for quite some time now. It’s on the third floor, so there are a lot of stairs to climb every day. The wooden floors creak when you walk on them. We mostly deal with paperwork, accounting, and some legal bits for local traders. It’s a very traditional setup. We have big old cupboards full of files that have been there for years and years. It’s not a modern office with glass walls or fancy computers; it’s more like an old library almost. The ceiling is very high, and we have those big old fans that hum all day while we work. Outside, you can hear the trams and the general noise of Bow Bazaar. It’s a very lively area with a lot of history in every corner. We don’t use much technology besides a basic computer for the essentials. Most of our work is still done by hand or on paper. We know our clients well, often for decades, and their fathers before them. It’s a slow and steady kind of place. We don't rush around. We just take each case as it comes and do the best we can with it.
