Jayant Spice

If you walk down Jessore Road near Shyam Nagar High School, you will see Jayant Spice at Shop No. 175. Being so close to the school means there is always a lot of activity, especially in the mornings and afternoons when the kids are coming and going. Our shop is quite small, but we managed to fit everything we need inside. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now, and we’ve become a part of the daily scenery for people living around here. We mostly sell different kinds of spices, and you can usually smell them from a few doors down. It’s a nice, warm smell that reminds you of home cooking. We don't have any polished sales pitches. Usually, we are just busy weighing out portions or chatting with someone who stopped in. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock delivered, but we make it work. We use simple scales and bags, nothing too high-tech. Our main goal is just to keep the shelves stocked and make sure people get what they need. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we enjoy being in this part of town. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. People just know we are here at shop 175, and that seems to be enough for us. We just take things one day at a time.
