We are based up here in Kamlar, which is a quiet spot near the government high school in the Sirmaur area. Our office is right where the family of Man Singh lives, in the Kangta Failag part of the village. Most days we are just working with the crops and the local land, seeing what we can get to grow. The weather in Himachal can be a bit tough sometimes, especially in the winter months, but we manage to get things done. People know where to find us if they walk past the school gates. We aren't doing anything fancy or high-tech, just standard agricultural work that needs doing every day. There are a few of us involved in the Kangta Agro Producer Company Limited. It’s mostly about getting the harvest sorted and seeing what the soil gives us each season. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough to get up here, but that is just part of living in the hills. We have been around this location for a while now, just handling the day-to-day stuff that comes with farming. Most of the talk around the office is just about the rain or how the latest crops are coming along. We keep things pretty simple. There isn't much to say other than we are just a local group trying to make a living off the land like everyone else around Kangta.
