We are Chaupal Naturals Farmers Producer Company Limited. Our main office, if you can call it that, is at Mast Ram Mehta’s place in Village Majhotali, House 1431. We are deep in the Chopal tehsil of Shimila district. Up here, life revolves around the apple orchards and the natural crops we’ve been growing for years. We decided to form this company so we could help each other get our products to the market without getting squeezed by the middleman. It’s not always easy to organize a group of farmers. Everyone has their own way of doing things. But we’ve lived as neighbors for a long time, so we trust each other. We focus on natural ways of growing things because that’s what we know best and what our land responds to. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our business happens through word of mouth or over a cup of tea in the village. It’s a rugged area and getting things moved down the mountain takes effort. We spend a lot of time discussing logistics and how to keep our produce fresh. We’re just local people trying to keep our traditions alive while making enough to get by. If you come to Majhotali, ask for Mast Ram’s house. Someone will point you the way. We’re usually around, either in the office or out in the trees. We do our best with what we have and keep moving forward.
