S V Caterer

S V Caterer is situated on Mangkaliamman Koil Street, which is right near Pat Road in the St Thomas Mount area. Being so close to the temple means we are part of the local community and we often hear the bells and the chanting while we are busy in the kitchen. It is a modest place where we do all our cooking and prep work. S V Caterer has been here for a good while, and we have seen the neighborhood change around us. We don't have a big team of sales people or a fancy office. It is just a kitchen where the real work happens every single day. We spend a lot of time over the hot stoves, and the steam can get quite thick when we are boiling big batches of rice. We don't have any brochures or promotional talk. We just rely on the fact that we have been doing this for years and people know us. The work involves a lot of lifting and carrying heavy vessels, which can be tough on the back. We often work late into the night to get everything ready for the next morning. St Thomas Mount is a busy place, and we are just one small part of it. We don't try to be something we are not.
