Amma Arusuvai

We started Amma Arusuvai a while back over here in Ramapuram. It’s right on Kkp Salai in Moogambigai Nagar, near the New No 49 A spot. Most days are pretty busy around here. We get up early to start the big pots. My cousin usually helps with all the prep work while I handle the actual cooking part. It isn't a huge place, just a simple setup where we make what we know how to make. People from around the neighborhood stop by most days. Sometimes the traffic on the street gets a bit much, but that's just how it is in this part of town. We try to keep things steady. The kitchen gets really hot, especially in the afternoons when the sun is hitting the front. We don't have a big menu or anything, just the usual stuff folks like to eat for lunch or dinner. It's mostly about keeping the food okay. We buy the vegetables from the market nearby every couple of days. Sometimes we run out of things if a big group comes in unexpectedly, but we do what we can to manage. It’s just us working here day in and day out. Nothing fancy about the chairs or the tables, really. Just a place to get a meal when you're hungry. We've lived in this part of town for a long time, so we know most of the people walking past. It feels alright to be doing this.
