Ganapathy Nutrious Food is a small operation we run out of No 62 on Kalilappa Naicker Street. We are situated in Nehru Nagar, which is part of the Ramapuram area. We chose this spot because it's where we could get started, and we've stayed here ever since. The work we do is pretty basic; we prepare food that's meant to be decent and simple. We don't use any complicated tricks or expensive ingredients that nobody has heard of. It is just everyday cooking done in a clean way. The kitchen is at No 62 and it is where we spend almost all our time. Sometimes the morning starts before the sun is even up, especially when we have a lot of prep work to finish. Ramapuram is a busy area, but our little corner on Kalilappa Naicker Street stays relatively manageable. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we show up every day and do the work. It’s a family-style environment here, even if we aren't all related. We just get on with the tasks, from washing the greens to packing up the final portions. It’s a humble way to make a living, but it suits us just fine.
