Our place is at No 42/32 on Kasthuri Bai Street, which is just off Pammal Road. If you know where Mungil Lake is in Pammal, we are quite close to that area. It’s a busy little street and we have been operating out of here for some time now. Every morning the first thing we do is check the supplies we got in. We do a lot of traditional cooking here, the kind of stuff people want for their home events. The kitchen is always moving, from the early tea to the late-night cleaning up. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We spend a lot of time chopping, stirring, and packing boxes. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with all the pots clanging around, but that’s just how a kitchen is. The neighbors are used to us by now. We try to keep things organized but when there are multiple orders, it gets hectic. We don’t have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people just find us because they live nearby or heard about us from someone else in Pammal. We just stay busy with the work at hand. The water from the lake area makes it a bit breezy sometimes, which helps with the heat from the big burners. It’s just us doing our thing every day, making sure the food is cooked right and sent out to whoever asked for it.
