Xika

It’s just us here at Xika on Gnb Road. We’ve been in Chandmari for a while now. The shop sits right opposite Sahara India. Most days start early, getting things ready before the traffic picks up outside. Guwahati can get pretty busy, especially this part of town. We see the same faces every morning, people heading to work or just passing through. It’s not a huge place, but it works for what we do. We try to keep things organized. Sometimes the air conditioner acts up when it's really hot out, but we manage. You’ll find us easily if you know the Chandmari area. The sign is visible from the road. Most of the staff live nearby, so they don’t have far to travel. We mostly just focus on getting through the day's tasks. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. Just some desks and the usual stuff you'd expect. People drop by for various things. It's usually quiet in the afternoons. We like the neighborhood. There are some good tea stalls nearby where we go for breaks. Being on Gnb Road means there's always something happening outside the window. We’ve gotten used to the noise of the buses and the rain on the roof. That's pretty much who we are, just a local spot in Guwahati doing our thing every day without any big fuss or complicated plans. We just keep moving through the work.
