You can find us inside the Ambarish Hotel on G S Road in Guwahati. This part of the city is always moving. G S Road is one of those places where there is never any peace, just cars and people all the time. Our restaurant is a straightforward spot. We serve the people staying at the hotel and also folks walking by. We have been here long enough that the walls could probably tell some stories. It is just a regular dining room with some old fans on the ceiling to keep the air moving. Guwahati gets very hot and sticky, so we try to keep it cool inside. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the doors and start making tea and food. The staff here are mostly local guys. We have a routine that we follow every single day. We clean the tables, prep the onions, and wait for the first customers. Sometimes the hotel is full and we are running around like crazy. Other times it is quiet and we just chat among ourselves. We don't use any fancy ingredients or weird cooking methods. It is just basic food for people who are hungry. We have some regular customers who have been coming here for years. They always sit in the same spot. It is a bit of a second home for us, even if it is just a job for the day.
