Sunview International Restaurants

We are located right on G S Road in Guwahati, inside the Sunview International Hotel. If you know where Mizoram House is, you can’t miss us because we’re right across the street. This part of Guwahati is always moving, so there’s a lot of traffic and people outside at all hours. Our restaurant is a bit of a refuge from all that noise. We call ourselves Sunview International Restaurants because we try to cook a bit of everything, not just the local stuff. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit chaotic when everyone orders something different, but we manage. We have big windows that look out onto the road, which is great for people-watching while you eat. The furniture isn't the newest, but it’s comfortable enough for a long lunch. Our waiters have been here a while and they know the menu inside out. They won't give you a rehearsed speech, they'll just tell you what's fresh today. We get a lot of people who are staying at the hotel, but also locals who just want a quiet meal. We don't do fancy plating with flowers and smears of sauce. We just put the food on the plate and make sure it tastes right. It’s a straightforward place. We open early for breakfast and stay open until the dinner crowd thins out. It’s hard work, but we like seeing the same people come back week after week. We just keep the ovens on and the tables ready.
