You can find us on the first floor of Sohum Residency on R.G Baruah Road, which most people just call Zoo Road here in Guwahati. We are situated near the NRL petrol pump, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. Being on the first floor means you have to walk up the stairs, but it gives a bit of a view of the street below. The restaurant has a fair amount of space, and we’ve arranged the tables so it doesn’t feel too cramped. We get a mix of people coming in—students from nearby, people working in the offices on Zoo Road, and families on the weekends. It’s a busy road, so there’s always noise from the traffic, but it feels a bit quieter once you’re inside the building. We don't have a lot of complicated decorations on the walls. It’s just a plain, functional space where people can eat. Our staff consists of local people who live around Guwahati. We handle everything ourselves, from taking the orders to cleaning up at the end of the night. It’s hard work, but we’ve been doing it for a while and we’ve got a good routine down. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just provide a place for people to have a meal. It's just us at Oregano Restaurants and we try to keep it simple and honest.
